Two qualities, one price

Our TENCEL™–Merino fabric range

Both constructions are knitted in the same 70/30 blend and offered at the same fabric price — the choice is purely about hand-feel and weight, not cost.

Option A · 140 GSM
Single jersey. Lighter and more breathable with a fine, fluid drape — reads as a premium year-round weight in a merino blend.
Option B · 180 GSM
Double jersey (interlock). Fuller hand, more dimensionally stable, better pilling resistance — closer to a classic 170–180 GSM sleepwear weight.
Wool spec
Fine merino, 17.5–18.5 micron, for skin-contact softness without prickle. Lenzing-certified TENCEL™ yarn so brand claims on hangtags are defensible.
Development
Counter samples of both qualities are made against your reference garment, so hand-feel, drape and weight agree before bulk pricing is final.

Why this blend

What TENCEL™–Merino does that cotton cannot

The three properties premium sleepwear brands build their story on.

Thermoregulation

Merino wool buffers temperature and humidity — warm in winter, cool in summer — so one garment works for sleeping all year, in more climates than a cotton set.

Odour resistance

Wool fibres naturally resist odour build-up between washes — a tangible premium claim for sleepwear, and one your customers will notice first.

Softness that lasts

Blending with TENCEL™ Lyocell adds drape and reduces pilling. Wash curves and finishing temperature are controlled so the hand-feel survives repeated laundering.

FAQ

The questions buyers ask about merino sleepwear

Our MOQ for TENCEL™–Merino pyjama sets is 100 sets per style per colourway. Development and sample runs can be smaller; a small-lot knitting surcharge may apply below 100 sets.
We currently knit 70/30 TENCEL™ Lyocell–Merino in two constructions: 140 GSM single jersey (lighter, breathable, fluid drape) and 180 GSM double jersey / interlock (fuller hand, dimensionally stable). Both are available at the same fabric price.
Counter samples take 10–14 working days from receipt of your reference garment. Bulk production takes 35–45 days from order confirmation and approved sample.
Yes. We develop the counter sample directly against your reference garment so hand-feel, drape and weight agree before bulk pricing is finalised. This is how most of our European sleepwear programmes start.
We are amfori BSCI audited and ISO 9001 certified, and we work with Lenzing-certified TENCEL™ yarn suppliers so brand claims are defensible. Test reports (composition, shrinkage, pilling) can be arranged per order.
