Scope

What "private label" actually covers here

Three different things get called private label. It helps to know which one you are buying.

Label swap on a stock block

You pick from blocks we already run, change the label and colour, and ship. Fastest and cheapest — 7–14 days to sample, minimal development cost.

Your pattern, our production

You send a tech pack and reference garment. We develop the pattern against your measurements, fit it on our sample room, and the block stays exclusive to you.

Full development (ODM)

You bring a market brief and a price target. We design, source fabric, develop trims and present a range — then you choose what goes to bulk.

Process

From brief to shipment

The realistic sequence, with the step most brands forget flagged in place.

1 · Brief
Tech pack, reference garment, target FOB, market and volume. If you have no tech pack, a reference garment photo set plus measurements is enough to quote.
2 · Quote
Itemised per style: fabric, cutting and sewing, trims, label and packaging, testing, margin. You see where the cost sits, not one blended number.
3 · Sampling
7–14 working days for counter samples. Sample fee is credited against the bulk order.
4 · Artwork (the step people forget)
Label, hangtag, polybag and barcode artwork approved in parallel with sampling. Approving artwork after sample sign-off is the single most common cause of a two-week delay.
5 · Bulk
35–45 days from order confirmation and approved sample. In-line inspection at 30% and 70% of production, final AQL 2.5 inspection before packing.
6 · Shipment
EXW Jiangyin or FOB Shanghai. We can consolidate with your other suppliers and load a mixed container on request.

Branding

Labels, tags and packing we handle in-house

Neck & care labels
Woven damask, printed satin or heat-transfer. Care and fibre content composed to your destination market's rules (US, EU, UK, AU).
Hangtags
Card stock, string or plastic barb, up to four colours, with barcode and price field if you need it.
Barcodes
GS1 / EAN-13 stickers applied per polybag or per carton. Send us the number list as a spreadsheet and we map it by size and colour.
Polybags & cartons
Recycled LDPE with suffocation warning where required, size-sticker per bag, and export cartons marked to your spec or to Amazon FBA requirements.
Your own labels
If you'd rather ship us your own labels and tags, we apply them at no extra charge. We will confirm receipt quantities before cutting.

Commercial terms

The numbers, in one place

MOQ
100 sets per style, per colour. Styles can be mixed within one shipment; the minimum applies per style-colour, not per order.
Sampling
7–14 working days; sample fee credited against bulk.
Bulk lead time
35–45 days from order confirmation and approved sample.
Compliance
amfori BSCI audited, ISO 9001 certified. Audit reports and test reports shared on request.
Incoterms
EXW Jiangyin or FOB Shanghai.
Payment
30% deposit with order, 70% against copy of bill of lading. T/T; L/C at sight for larger programmes.

FAQ

Private label questions, answered plainly

100 sets per style per colour — the same minimum as any other order. No separate private-label threshold, no setup fee for your first label run, no requirement to buy multiple styles.
Either. Most brands send print-ready artwork and we produce woven or printed labels locally along with hangtags, polybags and barcode stickers. If you ship your own labels to us, we apply them at no extra charge.
You do. Patterns developed against your tech pack are your property and are not used for any other customer. We sign an NDA before sampling and can mark the block as exclusive to your account.
Commercial invoice and packing list as standard. On request: declaration of conformity, fibre content statement, OEKO-TEX or third-party test reports, and the amfori BSCI audit report.
Realistically 8–11 weeks: 7–14 days sampling, 3–7 days revision and approval, then 35–45 days bulk. Approve label and packaging artwork during sampling, not after, and you keep the timeline intact.
